Synopsis; Fed up with her parent’s bickering, poor little rich girl Maya moves in with her boyfriend who is squatting in an old, condemned building on Manhattan’s lower East side. With neighbors that are meth heads, junkies and degenerates, this depraved hell hole is even more toxic that it appears.

Thoughts;


This movie doesn’t take long to get started. It goes pretty quickly once it starts. Personally I would have maybe lasted one night there, but then again I’ve never been in the type of situation where it would ever be an option for me.






As with most zombie type movies, some of the scenes were not believable and terribly graphic. I feel like this movie was meant to be funny/serious.

Thoughts;

Again with the “cabin in the woods”. This movie was much different than the others. First off, she is actually alone, and second, she is deaf.

The movie starts off a little slower, she is cooking dinner, but there is silence, which is exactly what she would be hearing, nothing. Her friend and neighbor texts her and asks if she can come over. You then meet her friend Sarah. There really are only two/three people in this movie. A fourth is introduced towards the end. Another thing that separates this movie, there isn’t a huge cast.

It gets going pretty quickly and as you watch her friend die outside her door, the killer realizes that she really can’t hear anything. It must have been a game for him, to stalk her after that since he could have easily walked away and she wouldn’t have known. Of course, that wouldn’t have made for this amazing movie.

He starts messing with her by taking pictures of her with her own cell phone. He sends them to her computer which is genius. She doesn’t see them until after she video chats with her sister who says; “Who’s there with you”, talk about creepy.

Maddie’s will to live is very clear in this movie, which is another thing that makes it so great. Creepy to think that what would really happen if you couldn’t hear and they could hear you?!

There were a lot of bad reviews on this movie. I am guessing mostly because of the “cabin in the woods” part. Most movies with bad reviews are based around this.

The synopsis is the basic feature, girl is set to go to a cabin, friends tag along. They are planning to party and things go bad from there. There is a twist in this movie however, aliens.

The movie is pretty basic until the aliens land and start terrorizing the kids. Then it gets fun, and interesting. The aliens don’t look bad fake and the story isn’t bad at all. No jump scares and some things seem a little obvious. The ending is a little “OMG” which is why you should watch this movie!

Thoughts;

Listed as a creature feature, so it was obvious that something was up. This movie really wasn’t that bad, a little slow at times and it missed out on any jump scenes that could have happened but all in all it was decent.

Of course this involved a house in the middle of nowhere. It’s aparant that the main character was supposed to be there by himself, for some R&R so that he can figure out what he is. His mom shows up out of the blue and watches him.

He brings his dumb friends around and they of course all end up dead.

Thoughts;

Some of these blends aren’t for me, I am truly not a minty person, so those I will be giving to my daughter or as a RAOK to someone. Some of them also didn’t have much of a cold smell, however I have learned that through the nature of wax, that doesn’t mean it would throw like crazy when it’s melted.

I very much look forward to supporting Jess in her wax adventure and seeing what she comes up with next.

Thoughts;

My husband was dying to see this movie. He had asked several times if we could watch it, so I said sure why not.

This movie was long, and slow. I watched the entire thing but it was certainly not a movie I would watch again.

It starts with these bearded burly guys in furs that are attacked my Indians. Turns out the Indians are looking for the daughter that was taken by the French. The fur traders must go on a different path, Leo gets attacked by a bear, they find him, try and fix him up and end up leaving him after they kill his son. Leo than seeks revenge against the man who killed his son.

That’s it, you got the movie. If you like these kinds, then go ahead and watch it, otherwise I’d suggest skipping it
