Chronic Pain Thoughts: Weaponized Grief

Dear Reader,

I remember growing up with the DARE and MADD being formed. I always knew these were programs started because someone somewhere went through something bad and wanted to raise awareness. I'm now aware that this was really weaponized grief.

I'm not saying “Drugs” are bad or that drunk driving is bad, because they are, what I am saying is just because you know someone that took things too far doesn't mean the rest of us will

It's how the CDC Guidelines started. Oxycontin was released to the market, addicts starting getting their hands on black market pills or from actual bad actors in the pain community and OD which made the rest of the pain community, those that were doing everything right, not be able to get the help they needed.

I'm consistently saying “You can't blame the everybody for what the 1% did” and that's very true in this case
