T-Shirt Review; My Honest Thoughts

The situation was brought to the vendor, and I have received a partial refund, however I am still a little peeved and feel that I need to vent. This is my safe space so to speak so here we go. Now, I am in no shape or form bashing this vendor because I love their product and feel that this may just be a fluke.

I do feel that when you purchase something, even online you have a reasonable expatiation that you will receive the item as pictured or very close to it.

My friend Jennifer told me that The Pharm was selling these super cute Valentine's Day shirts. They had 4 different ones. They offered Gnomes and my favorite "Roar Means I Love You in Dinosaur" They were $12 each and looked super cute with the splotchy bleach looking colors.

I did check out the Facebook group to see if people posted reviews, I only saw people posting how cute they were. I decided to go ahead and purchase, I bought one of each plus some bath bombs. I expected to get the shirts as pictured in long sleeve. I did not get that.

Below is the picture from the web site of the Gnome shirt that I thought was so cute

This is the shirt I actually received. It's short sleeved and an orange color. It's not as bright and vibrant as those shown on the site or in the Facebook group

Here is the dinosaur shirt, I took this screen shot from the group which is the exact same picture from the web site. I love the green, long sleeved shirt. Everything fits together nicely and it's so my style!

This is the dinosaur shirt I actually received. It's also a dull orange color and short sleeved. I was the most disappointed in this one. The colors just don't match with the saying at all!

After I contacted the vendor, she stated that it said on the web site regarding the different colors and short sleeved. I went back to look, and it only stated this.

So, the colors could be different, but nothing about short/long sleeve. This was a little frustrating as I had expected to receive them as pictured, they were so cute! The vendor did offer me a refund if I sent them back, which I didn't want to do and, in the end, gave me a refund of $10 total.

The only reason I'm coming here still is because I have a huge issue with bait and switch, people who nickel and dime and with sellers who think it's ok to rip people off. I understand that with the internet age it happens all the time, this is just not what I expected of this vendor.

I appreciate you reading through my small vent, this vendor has amazing body products and the best lotion. If you're interested in ordering here is the information.

Yours Cruelly, Elvira; Memoirs of the Mistress of the Dark

Author; Cassandra Peterson

Published September 21, 2021

Rating per Barnes and Noble; 5/10

Caution Spoiler Alerts

Synopsis.

The woman behind the icon known as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, the undisputed Queen of Halloween, reveals her full story, filled with intimate bombshells, told by the bombshell herself.

On Good Friday in 1953, at only 18 months old, 25 miles from the nearest hospital in Manhattan, Kansas, Cassandra Peterson reached for a pot on the stove and doused herself in boiling water. Third-degree burns covered 35% of her body, and the prognosis wasn't good. But she survived. Burned and scarred, the impact stayed with her and became an obstacle she was determined to overcome. Feeling like a misfit led to her love of horror. While her sisters played with Barbie dolls, Cassandra built model kits of Frankenstein and Dracula, and idolized Vincent Price.

Due to a complicated relationship with her mother, Cassandra left home at 14, and by age 17 she was performing at the famed Dunes Hotel in Las Vegas. Run-ins with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Tom Jones helped her grow up fast. Then a chance encounter with her idol Elvis Presley, changed the course of her life forever, and led her to Europe where she worked in film and traveled Italy as lead singer of an Italian pop band. She eventually made her way to Los Angeles, where she joined the famed comedy improv group, The Groundlings, and worked alongside Phil Hartman and Paul "Pee-wee" Reubens, honing her comedic skills.

Nearing age 30, a struggling actress considered past her prime, she auditioned at local LA channel KHJ as hostess for the late-night vintage horror movies. Cassandra improvised, made the role her own, and got the job on the spot. Yours Cruelly, Elvira is an unforgettably wild memoir. Cassandra doesn't shy away from revealing exactly who she is and how she overcame seemingly insurmountable odds. Always original and sometimes outrageous, her story is loaded with twists, travails, revelry, and downright shocking experiences. It is the candid, often funny, and sometimes heart-breaking tale of a Midwest farm girl's long strange trip to become the world's sexiest, sassiest Halloween icon.

Thoughts.

I remember first seeing Elvira at a friend's house, the Coor's Beer stand in their pool table room and thinking that she was amazing, I must have been about 10/11. I honestly forgot about the Mistress of the Dark movie until I read this book! That movie is amazing!

I literally couldn't put this book down. I think most of us assume that celebrities are born that way or have come by it easily. This book tells the whole entire whirlwind life lead by Cassandra. She has obviously lived an amazing life with tons of experiences! I know if my daughter wanted to be a Vegas showgirl at 17 I'd be knocking her in the head! But looked how Cassandra turned out?! How times have changed!

Read it, you will not be disappointed!

Venom; Let There Be Carnage

Came out; 2021

Time; 1 hour 37 minutes

Rating; PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, some strong language, disturbing material and suggestive references

IMDB Rating; 6/10

Caution; Spoiler Alert

Staring.

Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock

Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady

Michelle Williams as Anne Weying

Naomie Harris as Frances Barrison

Reid Scott as Dr Dan Lewis

Stephen Graham as Detective Mulligan

Peggy Lu as Mrs. Chen

Story Line.

Eddie Brock struggles to adjust to his new life as the host of the alien symbiote Venom, which grants him super-human abilities in order to be a lethal vigilante. Brock attempts to reignite his career by interviewing serial killer Cletus Kasady, who becomes the host of the symbiote Carnage and escapes prison after a failed execution

Thoughts.

Not as good as the first one. I actually enjoy these types of movies but this one was just not it.

It was a little boring and how Cletus becomes a symbiote is dumb. Did he not realize it happened before the execution? If so, why didn't he do anything before that? Did the drugs cause everything to happen? Like the entire thing is dumb...

So many plot holes, the sassiness between Eddie and Venom wasn't there in this one, it was like they were strangers again. So many things just didn't make sense

I was not impressed

CAUTION; Major Spoiler Alert

Plot Summary.

In 1996, a young Cletus Kasady watches helplessly as his love, Frances Barrison, who has the ability of sound manipulation, is taken away from St. Estes Home for Unwanted Children to the Ravencroft Institute. On the way, she uses her sonic scream powers to escape and attacks young police officer Patrick Mulligan. He shoots Barrison in the eye and suffers an injury to his ear due to her scream. Unbeknownst to Mulligan, who believes he killed her, Barrison is taken to the facility, which is hardened against her powers.

In the present day, Mulligan, now a detective, contacts Eddie Brock to speak to Kasady, a serial killer who refuses to talk to anyone other than Brock following their interview a year prior.[N 1] After the visit, Venom, Eddie's symbiote, is able to figure out where Kasady has hidden the body of victims, which gives Brock a huge career boost. Brock is then contacted by his ex-fiancée Anne Weying, who tells him that she is now engaged to Dr. Dan Lewis, much to Venom's displeasure.

Kasady, who was found guilty of his crimes and earlier sentenced to death by lethal injection, invites Brock over to San Quentin State Prison, where Kasady is detained on death row, to attend his execution. However, Venom is provoked to attack Kasady via insults towards Brock. Kasady bites Brock's hand, ingesting a small part of the symbiote. Back home, Venom, wanting more freedom to eat bad people, has an argument with Brock, and the two end up fighting until the symbiote detaches from his body; they go their different ways.

Kasady's execution fails when a red symbiote emerges and blocks the injection. It introduces himself as Carnage and goes on a violent rampage through the prison, freeing inmates and killing guards. Kasady and Carnage then make a deal: Carnage will help Kasady break out Barrison from Ravencroft, and Kasady will help him eliminate Brock and Venom. Mulligan calls Brock and warns him about the situation. In Ravencroft, Kasady frees Barrison, and they travel to their old children's home to burn it down.

Mulligan, suspicious of Brock due to his interactions with Kasady before Carnage emerged, takes Brock to the police station. Brock refuses to answer Mulligan's questions and contacts Weying as his lawyer. Brock reveals that Venom has separated from him and needs the symbiote to fight Carnage together. As Venom makes his way through San Francisco by hopping from body to body, Weying finds and convinces him to forgive Brock. She bonds with Venom and breaks Brock out of the police station. Brock and Venom make amends and bond again.

Kasady takes Mulligan hostage, and Barrison captures Weying after failing to find Brock. Barrison gives Lewis information on Weying's whereabouts, and he gives it to Brock. Kasady and Barrison plan to get married at a cathedral, where Venom appears and fights Carnage. Barrison seemingly kills Mulligan by hanging him onto a chain. Venom holds his own against his spawn, but he is eventually overpowered brutally by Carnage, and the latter decides to kill Weying atop the cathedral. Venom manages to rescue Weying in time and provokes Barrison to use her powers again; her sonic blast causes both symbiotes to separate from their hosts as the cathedral collapses and a falling bell kills Barrison.

Venom saves Brock by bonding with him before the impact. Carnage tries to bond with Kasady again, but Venom devours the symbiote, killing it. Kasady states that he only wanted to be Brock's friend, but Venom bites Kasady's head off. While Brock, Venom, Weying, and Lewis escape, a still-living Mulligan's eyes flash blue. Brock and Venom decide to take a vacation while they ponder their next steps.

In the mid-credit's scene, Venom tells Brock about the symbiotes' knowledge of other universes. But, before Venom can show him, a blinding light transports them from their hotel room to another room where they watch J. Jonah Jameson reveal Spider-Man's identity as Peter Parker on television.

Thoughts.

This was such a great book; I couldn't put it down. The entire process that Blake goes through and then suddenly figures everything out and the police don't believe her!

It's the end to a very long mystery that's plagued Blake for so long but so many secrets come to the service. Many twists and turns. I won't give too much away but this was great!

Thoughts.

This was a very well written book that I just couldn't put down. The twist was NOT one I saw coming at all. The book is so well written you can literally picture saltwater house and what these kids are going through

All wax I have purchased, or it has been sent to me in swaps that I do. I try and remember and disclose that information. I am never sent anything for free from the vendors

These are my opinions and mine only. This is not meant to influence your purchase just to share with you my experiences with vendors

I will never, won't ever and have never bashed another vendor. Sharing my experiences both good and bad is not bashing.

I do not believe in Ass wax. If the wax is going to throw it's going to throw. No wax should need more than 2 weeks from pour date to fully cure.

Yes, I am a vendor. I have been purchasing wax and candles for as long as I can remember. I do love to share my experiences. I enjoy wax and candles and will continue to make my own and purchase, but I will never review my own here

I have a tendency to yawn when I get talking. Not sure why I just do! I'm sorry in advance

Things that drive me crazy.

No vendor or scent name on labels. This is basically advertising and why wouldn't you do it? Plus, if I get or send to someone else and they or me want more, how do they know who to buy it from?

All over prices. I have been noticing vendors lately have 2 ounces of one shape for a certain price, then the same ounces of a different shape for a different price. This is a huge turn off for me

Restocks that only have certain quantities and the sell out right away. I have no tolerance for that and just won't order

Vendors who take a single scent and make it sound like a blend. I feel like this is duping your customers and shouldn't be done. People who do empty videos, who are also vendors, that review their own product.

Vendors who get involved in other people's drama.

I use the following warmers.

20-watt Happy Wax warmer in my office

20-watt glade warmer in my family room; Currently no warmer here

20-watt Happy Wax warmer in my kitchen

20-watt glade warmer in my son's room

20-watt Scentsy Stargazer warmer in my bedroom (Light Bulb)

25-watt Happy Wax warmer in my living room

15-watt scentsy warmer in the laundry room bathroom

15-watt scentsy warmer in the main bathroom

The opinions I put here are my opinions/experiences only. I fully urge each and every one of you to form your own opinions/experiences on vendors for yourself by placing an order and getting a DE-stash. Candles have many aspects to them and if I say I had a hard time burning one candle that doesn't mean the rest from the same vendor will be like that.
