Dear Reader,
I don't ever go political. It's never been in nature to judge someone based on how they voted or what side they were on. At 45 years old, I have now come out of the neutral zone.
For me, elections are never about Democratic vs Republican or Red vs Blue. It's been about the issues facing our nation and who has the best ideas/policies on how to fix them. This year has been so different than anything I've ever experienced.
It's not what you voted for, it's what you voted against. It's the details and facts you ignored. It's the conspiracy theories you leaned in to.
You voted for a Felon, a Bully, a man who puts his hate on the table in front of you. He never hides who he is, and you all cheered for him.
What does “Make American Great Again” truly mean to you? For me, it means unity, health care rights, the American Dream we were all sold in the past. The right to live peacefully and happy no matter what our direction in life is.
We are no longer the home of the free or the brave.
All we can do now is hope for the best,
I am a big girl and am very well aware that what you think can and will be different than what I think. We can have discussions and agree or disagree, this is how the world works.
I won't treat you differently because you voted differently, I will however judge your morals and integrity. You sold your soul to a crooked felon businessman and the souls of millions of people for the chance at lower costing gas.
Please take a civics, Government or Economics class.
