Synopsis;
From
New York Times bestselling author Jana DeLeon, the second book in the
Shaye Archer thriller series. Street kids are disappearing, but how
do you report that to the police when, from their standpoint, the
missing people didn’t exist to begin with? Hustle is certain that
something bad has happened to his friend Jinx, and the only person he
can turn to for help is private investigator Shaye Archer. Because
Hustle helped the young PI while she was investigating her first
case, Shaye has already formed an opinion as to his character and
believes he’s telling the truth. As she digs deeper into Jinx’s
disappearance, she discovers that Hustle’s friend isn’t the only
one missing. As a frightening pattern emerges, Shaye wonders if she
can find the missing kids…before it’s too late.
Thoughts;
This
book was amazing! As with the first, I just couldn't put it down!
These books are well written and easy to follow. They are also great
at not giving away any real clues until the characters in the book
figure it out!In this book, we find Shaye helping a young street kid named Hustle. He is missing some of his friends and is very worried.
Once Shaye starts looking into the disappearance of one street kid, they start finding out others have been missing along with another child.
In the end, they uncover a human trafficking ring where kids are stolen, then sold. We also find out that Shaye was once one of those kids.
