Thoughts;
The first movie was amazing! It was the scariest movie I’d
seen in a long time. True horror isn’t always about jump scares or murder. I
expected a lot from this movie especially since I like Vera Farmiga and Patrick
Wilson.
I was disappointed, yes there were a few scares and creepy
moments but this movie was way longer than it needed to be and just dragged on
for what seemed like forever. We had 45 minutes left when we finally said “how
much longer is this” and going in I knew it was this long, but if the movie is
good and catches your interest it doesn’t feel like 2 hours.
The movie starts with the Amityville house, then goes to the
home of Ed and Lorraine. From there, it goes to London and we go back and forth
for a bit until Ed and Lorraine finally hope on a plain and cross the pond.
Once they get to London things actually start to happen and the movie moves a
little more than it had been. The ending is what you would have expected.
All in all I was disappointed.
