Story Line:
A docu-series that uncovers the toxic culture behind some of the most iconic children's shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s
Thoughts:
My kids were obsessed with ICarly, Victorious and Sam & Cat. My husband and I would often end up watching these shows even when the kids walked away because they were funny and well put together. Not once did I catch on to any inappropriate jokes or events. Looking at this, I see it now.
Drake Bell is very raw when watching this, I thought Jeanette was raw and honest in her book but it's nothing like what you hear when Drake speaks.
From the outside looking in, there were clearly things going on that we didn't know about, it was evident when the child stars grew up and went down the wrong path very publicly. It's a sad thing to see but now watching this it's how they chose to cope with the things they had experienced.
