Thoughts;
I know, a 2008 movie that I’m watching now! I personally thought
this movie was great. It had the perfect amount of creepyness and scare! It was
obvious by the title of the movie and the fact that it’s a “horror” movie that
something was going to happen. I honestly expected this to be a creature type
movie, that something was living in the ruins.
There is a good amount of back story and just enough to where
there isn’t much boring parts. When the taxi driver at first refuses to take
them to their destination you know something is up with the place itself.
When they find the temple, or ruins, and the Mayans show up,
you know things are about to “get real” and at first it seems like they don’t
want their picture being taken, it isn’t until you realize that the flowers are
making the cell phone noise that you really start to get the feel of the movie.
A good amount of terror takes place during this movie, it’s
both good, gory, scary and creepy as they are stuck with no way out. I
personally would try to figure out a way to crawl down the back side. Although
when the movie ends, you realize that they are all doomed no matter what! Great
Watch!!
