Storyline;
Amy has a seemingly
perfect life - a great marriage, over-achieving kids, a beautiful home and a
career. However, she's overworked, over-committed and exhausted to the point
that she's about to snap. Fed up, she joins forces with two other over-stressed
moms on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities -
going on a wild, un-mom-like binge of long overdue freedom, fun and
self-indulgence - putting them on a collision course with PTA Queen Bee
Gwendolyn and her clique of devoted perfect moms.
Thoughts;
I was actually able to
watch this movie alone! I know, imagine that. I had a vacation day from work on
a school day, so I took some time to indulge in this movie!
This movie doesn’t skip
anything, it doesn’t sugar coat and it’s funny! The entire cast has an amazing
ability to make you think that this could be real life. As a mother of 4 kids,
I can relate to almost all of this. I personally choose not to take part in the
PTA since it would be way too much for my already booked up schedule, but I can
totally relate to Mila’s character.
I also loved that at the
end of the movie it was the actresses talking with their mom’s.
